COVID-19

Long distance paths (LDP)

We know that the current situation with the spread of the new coronavirus is very concerning for many of our clients. We understand and share your concerns and are ready to advise and support you in any way we can. We have answered the most frequently asked questions below but if you need more information or wish to chat about your options, please email us or give us a call on 016974 78443.

Is my holiday going to run?

We have taken the decision to cancel all our trips up to the end of April. If your trip is due to start after this time, we ask you to wait before taking any decision about your travel. We are continually monitoring UK Government advisories with regard to the pandemic and will update our advice as and when there are any developments. If you are joining one of our trips from abroad, we recommend that you monitor advice given by your own government and airline.

Will I be safe?

We will follow the advice of the UK Government and will not operate any holidays if it is deemed unsafe to do that. For the latest Government advice and information about COVID-19, please use the links in the section on 'Further Information'.

Can I cancel my holiday?

You can cancel your holiday without penalty only if the UK Government deems it unsafe to travel, or restricts travel, to the region where your holiday takes place at the time of departure. The Government have indicated that they will review their policy on a rolling basis, looking approximately 3 weeks ahead. While this remains the policy we will make decisions on whether to cancel trips approximately 4 weeks prior to departure. If you decide to cancel your trip due to disinclination to travel, we will incur costs and for this reason, if you cancel, our standard terms and conditions will apply. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.

Can I postpone the holiday?

Because of the exceptional circumstances of the spread of COVID-19, we will allow postponement of your holiday for trips departing within the next 2 months and we will review this as the situation develops. Postponement is dependent on availability of accommodation for the alternative dates you propose. The dates for a postponed holiday must be decided before October 1st 2020 but can be for a date in 2021 and up to June 2022. We will charge a fixed admin fee of £25 per person to cover our costs and the trip price will be as advertised on our website. If you opt to postpone the holiday, your deposit and any payments you have made will be credited to the new dates. Please contact us as early as possible prior to your departure if you wish to take advantage of this.
